Hot Topics
Hot Topics is a plain language series about recent changes and current debates in the law. There are four issues published each year, written by legal experts. All issues include case studies and sources of further information. All NSW public libraries receive Hot Topics and have a copy available for loan.

What's New
International Law (69)
Examines the sources of international law, and interaction with Australian law, the institutions involved in international law and States. Covers international environmental law, criminal law and humanitarian law. Also looks at enforcement of international law and provides case law and further reading.

Indigenous peoples (68)
Discusses the treatment of Indigenous peoples in domestic and international law, examining case studies from the US, Canada, the Sami people (Norway, Sweden and Finland), the Mapuche in Chile, New Zealand and Australia. Includes sections on Australian land rights and native title and reproduces in full the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples recently given recognition by Australia.
